The idea of a rose garden first dawned in August 2009, beginning life as a humble collection of rose bushes on the terrace of Emanuele Dotti’s apartment in Rome. Continually inspired by an ever-growing passion for roses and counting on the professional guidance of specialist rose-growers, his collection expanded so rapidly that almost four hectares of land were soon needed to accommodate over 1.300 species of heirloom and modern roses that currently grow in the garden.
It is a private garden and its name is in fond memory of a very dear friend, Giovanni Chilanti.
A selection of roses from the Chilanti Collection, which is updated regularly.
